It's a pity that much of the news media of today cares more for spectacular ("got cha") displays than they do for information gathering. Oh, where are the Ted Koppel, Howard Kurtz, Barbara Walters, Tavis Smiley, and Bill Moyers students and emulators. They are needed today more than ever. Would that they had a school that taught more true journalism, contemplating fairplay and no hidden agendas aimed at embarrassing people or foiling their intended purposes. Instead, they'd focus on finding facts for the sake of soundness and truth. Were I ever under the gun, I'd pray for one of them as my inquisitor. They are good and decent in their approach to people. Truly, the way they do it is humbling to me; it always has been.
