They died; death touched them; they died in the flood

They died; death touched them;
Death touched them in the flood.
There was a flood in Houston;
They died, the media said.
Male and female, Death took them.
They died, death touched them in the flood..
O, Wonderful One of Mercy.
Knowing you as I do,
May they have found peace in Death's approach
Toward them, and may they have dispelled all fear;
Releasing fear to the Reservoir of Light and Love within themselves;
May they have harmonized any conflicting emotions;
May they have made peace with any conflicting images;
Having released all those things that can arouse fear.
May they have seen You in Death and Death in You as it really is.
When Death touched them, having sat down, may they have reconciled
All things within themselves, all lives, all fragments of all things,
May they have reconciled all those fragments that remained such that
Nothing was lost. May they have had no fear or dread unresolved, but
Released In loving acceptance when Death sat down and touched them,
O, Wonderful One of Mercy!
In Death, may the last thing they saw was Your Presence (He, She, or It).
I did, time and again, some were more sure Deaths than others.
I saw Death every time, yet Death did not touch me - he did not sit down.
Yet, even had I died, life and death are alike to you, I know.
I know because I have survived to tell it, to dream about it, time
And again. I found out for myself that Death is a friend, not an enemy.
A dying man whom I love and respect related the truth of the friendship of
Death to me, which was just a verification of what I already knew.
To my dad, the "settled old man" was seated in different areas of
The dwelling place he inhabited at the time, which place he said,
"The settled old man moves closer and closer, seated in his chair in different
Corners. He go'n boss somebody in this trailer" (as he pointed to a
Certain corner of the rooms). The old man was always seated in my
Dad's mind's eye. When he pointed to him, I saw the old man only through
Dad's eyes, but I knew as surely as I lived, Death sat there watching us
Watching him. Dad was happy about that, and that Death was his friend.
Then, one evening Death got up, came toward my dad, and touched
Him as I sat in a chair beside his bed.We had just had our very last
Talk, even though he could not do anything but grunt and search my eyes
Through his dying ones. He understood me when I told him that nothing
Mattered but Life and Love, where I shared with him that he was going.
Dad fell back onto the bed in peace, never saying another grunt. A short while
later, Dad let out a loud sigh, and then, after lying there in his Spiritual peace, he
Surrendered to the settled old man, willing, and with amazing grace.
He knew he left behind an overwhelming flood of troubles. But with my help,
He made peace with all of that. He accepted it as it was, as I did many years before.
They died, Death touched them.
Death touched them in the flood.
They died, the media said,
They died, Death touched them,
And wading through the waters,
Death took them to You. Amen. OM

It is better to be black and genuinely love yourself than to be black yet not black

I cringed as I watched the teacher in this video drill these kids because I felt they were hard pressed to overcome their intimidation, even though they were with a teacher they knew, and who had probably drilled those affirmations into them along with their immediate families, I hope. I would like to do some research and find out how these kids fared in their lives, sort of like a follow-up to a documentary or something. We need those types of minds working with our kids all the time, because it does not look good for anyone who is willing to see it; I will share it with you if I am bold enough to tell what I see in the field. I am. Someone is not teaching their kids these truths, and these kids really need the reinforcement of familial breathing-down-the-neck, hands-on lessons. I said they need it, not that it is being done much. Our black kids are the witnesses.

I know this because I see it and hear it as I frequent schools doing substitute teaching somewhere in America. It is sad; it makes one want to cry. Just last week I told a classroom of high school kids that they made me ashamed of their escapism from blackness while remaining black. I was literally ashamed to witness what I did when I realized I was caught in the middle of who was black, who was black and not black after all, and who was TAR-BLACK! Some black students belittled a girl's brother (whom I do not know) about being “that nigga” and "black as tar" while she was asking them to leave her brother alone - he was not there to defend himself. I have seen word-wars among black kids who deny themselves daily, but I never saw anything like this until that day. The boys kept on with the "black as tar" line until I stood up. The roomful of kids said "Uh oh" and got quiet.

You would not believe those kids, and I am glad I never remember the names only the faces because I wanted to cry for them (which is often), and for us because they are our kids and we should be their models. I asked the boys to stop calling someone else nigga, who is the same color they are. That started the whole debate that made me ashamed of them or pitied them. I do not know which one I felt more. Those boys are black-skinned boys, but they called another boy black, which I said was the skin tone they are also. Then I told the black kids in that room that they are all black, I'm black, and nobody is any blacker than the other since we are all black.

There was not one Mulatto student in the room who might have objected to that (although I'm sure they probably would not, since multiracial people usually identify with their black portion of ethnicity, which should be one’s own choice either way). The black kids loudly objected to me calling us black people! I got backlashes from most of them. Some of them were a little quieter, but one girl stopped when I pointed to several of and said, “We are black.” That student said she was not black, she was brown. I said again that we are Black. She repeated that she is not black, she is brown. “Paper sack tan,” she said, “Not black.” I wanted to cry. There was a black girl next to her whom she was very friendly with, but the girl was black-skinned, just as the girl whose brother was being belittled. The "brown" girl was not even "high yellow" but just a little less than paper sack tan as some so proudly assert that they are (with or without the help of Olay).

When this girl was still determined to be brown and not black, I then showed her who the brown people were. I went to the desks of a few brown students who did not deny they were brown when I told us: "These are brown people; we are black people." The brown kids never muttered a denial, but the black kids still argued with me about their blackness or lack of it. It was a shame. These kids really mean what they say. They are so disconcerted, bewitched by something enticing, and confused such that they do not know who to call "nigga." Therefore, they call everybody that if they can get away with it. On the other hand, though, the brown kids and white ones will too, if they can get away with calling someone nigga as a friend or a foe. None of the kids of any color or ethnicity can be allowed to belittle themselves or others with those words or the alternative is to go on a date with Security, because the worst profanity that they learn from home and/or hip-hop/rap music, they demand to use it in my face if they are allowed to do it. They are not.

A last thing the confused youth demand that the system's sitters accept: Not long ago, I got some insight into what enables these kids in the system to do things they should not get away because it wreaks of bad ethics, which (good ethical conduct) most school systems do not teach, I am told. I was in conversation with a teacher about the worst of the worst in her room. She took the time to tell me as if making an excuse for this child from New Orleans that he was raised differently from "other" kids, and all that vulgarity is natural for him because that is his upbringing. Without saying it at all, I understood the message. That youth is representative of all blacks in the eyes of the system that does not expect more than that from their caretakers since that is what she meant – his parents or somebody made him into what he is, and we just have to do the best we can with what another system sends into the schools. I understood it plainly although the nice teacher probably never knew she might be telling the truth about how all minority children are seen, and the homes they come from are considered mirror images.

Slowly, very slowly, the scales are falling from the eyes of many. Only courage under hypocritical fire can keep them open. Anyway, what is a few million dollars in export to Israel when the US GIVES Israel billions of dollars in war-treasure funds to discriminate against all people that do not look like them and that they do not like, plus those whose religion is different from their own cult unless they profit them (i.e., the Christians). All things have a course to run. Remember the four kingdoms already fallen. They, too, were at the height or summit of their heaviness (vanity).

The chief economist of the NEA said that the proposals found in this article have a common factor - the assumptions are not based on evidence, i.e., '“not evidence based.”' 


America have some staunch proponents of states rights or rather states' sovereignty:  "House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) trotted out a worn and unproven solution: private school vouchers. House Budget Committee Chairman and former vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan (R-WI) singled out public education as a central element in the perpetuation of poverty. Ryan’s recommendation: more education and housing vouchers, and greater community involvement. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), a Tea Party stalwart, proposed that federal anti-poverty funds be given to states — or in Washington-speak, block grants — to distribute as they best see fit.


Why block grants?  It is the next thing to autonomy - after the government doles out the money.  According to the head economist of the NEA, “Block grants would turn back the clock to when governors and state legislators, many of whom are prone to less evidence-based and politicized approaches, spent taxpayer money less effectively, less efficiently and particularly with less accountability.”  That is what would make them most happy and feel triumphant to a high degree.


Richard Sims, chief economist of the NEA, goes on to provide more evidence-based issues the Republicans would rather not be reminded of, or that they aim to try hard to defeat if the voters throw in the towel and say, "go ahead, ruin my life."  I understand that there are some people who already feel that life is ruined - they have their reasons but this is not one of them.  If Americans really do want America to be a third world country, all we have to do is strip Americans of the power of education, or to restrict education to a select few, and as a nation, we will have arrived at some point in the Book of Revelation.

A family denied to end a mother's suffering and in that act, end the child's suffering

What a tragic case this is.  The dead woman speaks; her husband speaks; her whole family speaks.  However, the arrogance of the state and so-called pro-life advocates, are very sadistic it is being proved by their actions and sentiments.  Get this:  if fetuses have feelings and can feel pain and suffering, what is the difference in, say, aborting a child for whatever reason a woman or couple might have for deciding to abort a fetus.  Who is the sadist?  If "pro-lifers" care so much for "life," why make a fetus suffer trying to have one's way over the karmic domain of another person or persons.

This is an abuse of authority, common sense, mercy, and compassion.  These opponents of this family do not care about compassion.  If they did, they would allow this family to be responsible for their own way of rendering the last rites to their family member. Furthermore, if a woman is carrying a baby, and that woman dies, in a sense that fetus dies because there is no way a fetus can truly exist without the healthy nutrients coming in from the mother to the fetus via the feeding tube: the umbilical cord or the cord of life, I say.  It can only feed on what the woman can excrete - dead matter or refuse, even if fed from a tube attached by a foreign entity (hospital).

What this cruelty is doing is making this family feed their little unborn relative in the death chamber - the womb of the mother - the tomb of the dead.  The fetus is withering away in that tomb by the minute, because the mother is decomposing by the minute.  It doesn't matter how fast or slow that decomposition is, it is still decomposition, which refuse is the fetus's food of death and not life.  Shame on them for this cruelty in more ways than one, and may God have mercy on all of them when reaping time comes - Karma and its scythe never forgets.  Even in all of that mercy comes with it, so why not be merciful so that mercy can be found when the time comes, because "when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death" (James 1:15 NKJV).  May the family find peace in this struggle against the sin (presumption) of small-minded people, especially the educated ones.

Notice the contrast in the article.  What is right for white kids to do is wrong for blacks to do the same thing - unless they are on the same team that the whites are on.  Among blacks kids the three-pointer sign becomes the sign of gang banging.  The community in this town is 95% white, whose citizens helped moved the incident past a positive act to one of suspicious activity among three black boys.  "Jesus wept" as Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream that is still in the weeping stage.  

America is a country slow to learn wisdom, tolerance, understanding, and common decency among Americans.  Of course America does not like to be told that she is not wise, tolerant, understanding, and that she lacks much common decency, but that is only a sign of immaturity on the part of a child that, for example, grew up too fast left to itself.  Positively, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen (yet).  It is life-sustaining to look beyond faults to needs that the wise pray earnestly for.
