Good for you, Kanye. The media has a nasty habit of trying to coerce people into admissions, denials, and confirmations about things they would not ordinarily do. I suggest that is why these "talk" people like to get their guests flustered, make them nervous, press them with questions like shooting pistols before they get one answered.
This reminds me of another recent episode in which I felt the same thing happened to him. He was pressed into a corner by the host where he was never given time to finish a statement before being plied with another question, which never clarifies anything anyone is trying to say.
I feel the journalism field is falling down on the job in a lot of ways. It is as if they are trying to become celebrities themselves. Journalism used to be more principled than it is today. It is quite like a drama scene rather than a fact-finding/gathering disciplinary work anymore.
Also, it is deceptive when the subject was about his desire to apologize to George Bush about the Katrina statement, yet the host Matt Laur went and brought another subject (the Taylor Swift episode) from the past. West is a strong person in his own right. I admire people who try to correct a wrong publicly with shame. It truly speaks of a sincere aspiration to right a wrong and go on, even if he was not wrong in what he said about George Bush.
Maybe he was. Maybe he wasn't. Bush knows for sure; he said it was not true. Kanye is sure he needed to apologize, so he did. Journalism/media needs to be as open and apparent about their motives.
